Our guide to the second round of the Atlanta municipal elections

It’s Election Day again and it’s time for Atlanta voters to vote for the next Atlanta mayor and several members of the Atlanta City Council, as well as representatives from the Public Schools Education Board of ‘Atlanta.

Most of our Election Day advice is valid, but here are the important details:

Where to go: Head to the the My state voter page to find your polling station and view a sample ballot. If you are not registered to vote, you cannot vote in the second round.

  • Polling stations in the city of Atlanta open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. If you line up at 8 p.m., you can vote. Don’t leave the line.

What to bring: Your State approved voter ID.

Who to call: If you have problems at the ballot box, call the Georgia Secretary of State’s Election Fraud Hotline at 877-725-9797 or the Civil Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice. United at 800-253-3931.
