Friday December 10

Today is Bingo Day at the Senior Rec Center at 401 N. Bell. If you are 55 and over, come join us from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The first card is free, all the others are only 25 cents each. Prices and snacks available.

Free movie night at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 39307 W. MacArthur, Shawnee. Join us on Friday, December 10 at 7 p.m. for a fun night of camaraderie, movies, popcorn and pop; all free. Join us as Mary travels on a journey of a lifetime, an all-time story, “THE STORY OF NATIVITY”. It’s a family movie that everyone will love! Everyone is invited! Saturday 11 December

Square 8’s Square Dancing Club comes together for camaraderie, food, and fun, plus lots of square dancing! Join them from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Seniors Recreation Center at 401 N. Bell.

Monday 13 December

A new knitting class led by Cathy will meet at 11:00 am at the Senior Recreation Center. Starter supplies will be provided. Anyone aged 55 and over is welcome.

Tuesday 14 December

The Seniors Recreation Center at 401 N. Bell will be celebrating December birthdays all day. Snacks will be provided. If you happen to have a birthday in December, stop by to sign our December birthday poster. Anyone aged 55 and over is welcome!

Wesley United Methodist Church will have its free cloakroom from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The church is located at 302 E. Independence in Shawnee. You will find us in the pavilion behind the church.

The Westside Neighborhood Watch meeting will be held on December 14, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Room 109.

Wednesday 15 December

Join the Pottawatomie County Electoral Council for a “Come and Go” Christmas Reception on December 15, 2021 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Come and enjoy the camaraderie, food and fun at our new location at 330 North Broadway , Shawnee. Door prizes will be distributed throughout the day. We encourage the community to come and see our new office. Several statutory elections are scheduled for 2022. It would be a good opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new location of the electoral office at 330 N. Broadway, Shawnee.

Friday 17th December

The Seniors Recreation Center at 401 N. Bell will host the December pool tournament starting at 1:00 p.m. Come cheer on your favorite pool player!

The Arts @ 317 will be holding their own Block pARTy on Friday December 17th from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm John May of Dragons Fire Creations is our featured artist for the evening and will show how he creates his art. Other artists will also be able to make surprise visits!

Wednesday 22 December

The Seniors Recreation Center will host Tina Singleton from Kindful Hospice will host an information table on “Mental Wellness on Vacation” as part of our Wellness Focus on Wednesday 9:30 to 11:00 am 30. with the stress of the holidays and other wellness tips. Everyone is welcome.

Thursday 23 December

The Seniors Recreation Center at 401 N. Bell will be closed for the Christmas holidays.

Friday 24 December

The Seniors Recreation Center at 401 N. Bell will be closed for the Christmas holidays.

Monday, December 27
